With LONESOME ASTRONAUT, Nicole Giesa has been creating an iconic photo series since 2021 that deals with the themes of alienation, isolation and loneliness in an increasingly interconnected world. Her astronaut travels anonymously through the world, is in the midst of life and yet isolated in everyday situations.
